Heritage Certificates

PLEASE NOTE:   Jaguar Heritage Archive services - temporary suspension.

As has already been announced, Jaguar Heritage will be leaving its present location at Browns Lane, Coventry later this year.  Unfortunately, in order to carry out the planned relocation, it has become necessary to progressively restrict public access to our various archive functions. As part of this Heritage Certificates will only be available to order up until July 2nd, 2012.
We plan to re-establish a fully operational archive as soon as possible in the Autumn and will confirm dates closer to the time.

How to obtain a Heritage Certificate for your Classic Jaguar or Daimler.

Since 1931 when Jaguar began making the first SSI cars and until the 1980s, every car we made was individually recorded with a hand-written entry in large ledgers.  When this system was eventually abandoned in the computer age, these original ledgers were turned over to Jaguar Heritage's archive.

Using these invaluable original records, Jaguar Heritage now offers owners of classic Jaguar and Daimler cars a production record trace service.  By completing a downloadable form, you can apply for a Heritage Certificate for your car.
Alternatively, you can now apply for a Heritage Certificate online.  Click here for further details.

A Jaguar Heritage Certificate is a Certificate that gives all the relevant information on your car taken from the original records.  It will confirm the original numbers and colour scheme, give the dates of build and dispatch, as well as the original destination of the car.  Where recorded, the name of the first owner and the original registration mark are also included on the Certificate.

To mark the 50th anniversary of the E-type in 2011, we introduced a special design of Production Record Trace Certificate for E-types, starting with the cars that took part in the 50th Anniversary Tour to Geneva.  This special commemorative certificate features the E-type Fifty Years logo, and is printed on a background of the original 1961 E-type line drawings.   These special certificates are still available for E-types on request.
